- Budget Management & Forecasting: Owns the marketing budget. Allocates resources based on ROI scenarios, tests vs scale trade-offs, and company priorities. Defends marketing investments at the C-level.
- Stakeholder Influence: Acts as a thought partner to the CEO, Head of Product, and VP Sales. Influences board-level decisions with market insights, customer trends, and competitive analysis.
- Crisis Management & Risk Communication: Leads communication response during crises (PR, legal, brand reputation), ensuring alignment with corporate values and legal requirements.
- Team Development & Succession Planning: Grows future leaders through mentoring, feedback, and clear development paths. Oversees leadership pipeline within the marketing function.
- Innovation & Martech: Champions adoption of AI tools, MarTech stacks, and automation to improve marketing efficiency and personalization.
